The Future of TAVR
Content
In the first episode of this expert-led webinar series, we will explore the foundations of Redo TAVI. Our experienced faculty will guide you through everything you need to know to prepare for THV-in-THV procedures including evidence from the ReTAVI registry, features of the most common THVs, principles for best planning and the importance of CT imaging for greater precision.
- •Evidence in Action: Outcomes and Key Points from the ReTAVI Registry
- •Terminology, THV Features and Planning Principles
- •Precision Planning: The Role of CT in THV-in-THV Interventions
Live Q&A will be available throughout the webinar to allow you to have your say.

FAQ — Foundation of Redo TAVI (April 9, 2026)
Redo TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) refers to a second TAVI procedure performed in patients whose previously implanted transcatheter heart valve (THV) has failed or deteriorated. As TAVI becomes the standard of care for aortic stenosis, the growing population of TAVI patients means that redo procedures will become increasingly necessary over the coming years.
The ReTAVI registry provides real-world evidence on the safety and efficacy of THV-in-THV procedures. Key findings include acceptable procedural success rates, manageable complication profiles, and insights into patient selection criteria that optimise outcomes. This session will review the most relevant data points and their clinical implications.
Effective planning requires a thorough understanding of the original valve's design and failure mode, accurate sizing of the new THV relative to the existing one, and careful assessment of coronary ostia height to mitigate obstruction risk. CT imaging is central to this planning process and will be covered in detail during the webinar.
This webinar is primarily designed for experienced TAVI implanters using the SAPIEN 3 platform. However, it is open to all healthcare professionals involved in structural heart disease and valve care who wish to build foundational knowledge in Redo TAVI.
Yes. A live Q&A session will be available throughout the webinar, allowing participants to interact directly with the faculty and raise clinical questions in real time.
